Patrick Geneva defended his Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Delaware in Computer Science in the College of Engineering in May of 2024. He is interested in the areas of robotics and state estimation and performed research under the direction of Guoquan Huang in Robot Perception and Navigation Group (RPNG). His primary focus is in the areas of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) and visual-inertial navigation systems (VINS). He received a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Computer Science & Mathematics from the University of Delaware in May of 2017. He is the recipient of the University Doctoral Fellowship Award (2021), NASA Delaware Space Grant (DESG) Graduate Fellowship (2019 and 2022), and Mary and George Nowinski Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award (2017).
